Lunch in Krakow

Jan buying two apples at the local market.  Hand signs and smiles netted us two apples, Not the two kilos the vender originally thought.

This woman on the left is selling eggs, from her own hens.  Not sure how many she started with, but she was holding a single dozen here.  There were several older vendors, standing quietly like her, with eggs or a handful of vegetables.  Our host at the hostel we're staying at says they come not simply to sell eggs, but to get out and socialize.

We bought two pretzels (a Krakow specialty) from one of the many street corner vendors.

Then to a little bakery in the market with a sampling to welcome us.

We bought too many of these.  I held up four fingers (I only learned to count to 2 in Polish) but somehow we ended up with eight or nine of them.  None went to waste

Then to enjoy our lunch in one of Krakow's many parks.
