Our hostel in Krakow

We like to stay in bed and breakfasts or hostels when we travel.  We generally find the hosts to be knowledgable and friendly and we meet other interesting travellers.  In Krakow, we stayed at "The Elephant on the Moon Hostal" about a 20 min walk from the old town.  This hostel has six rooms, one a dorm with 3 double bunks, and the rest private bedrooms for one or two. We were in a private room, knowing we'll have lots of dorm life in the weeks ahead on the Camino.

Nice kitchen and living area, breakfast included that we shared with people from England, Czech Republic, Italy, France and Guelph.

The owner and host is a young woman named Aga and she joined the group in the morning and evening to give advice on what to see, where and answer some of our questions about things we'd seen.  Aga also is a bit of a clean freak and kept the place spotless.  According to other guests, this is not typical of other hostels.

Our host Aga, with Jan:

Great hostel.
